I wanna get this cleared up for you as much as possible.

I’m hearing from so many who are worried about the future; they’ve either been furloughed, or told that there might not be a job for them after all this.

Naturally this is creating worry and anxiety about where they go from here.  They’ve got bills to pay, financial commitments and responsibilities that are depending on their salary each month.  It’s causing them sleepless nights and worries about where to go next.

If this is you my friend, you’re not alone.  I’m here for you.

These times are greatly unsettling for many reasons.

Being kind and gentle to yourself is the ultimate gift you could give yourself right now.

Limit what you consume and avoid buying into the fear and uncertainty that is circulating the news and media channels.

This can quadruple how you’re feeling about work and the prospect of finding a job in these times; right down to taking anything just to bring in the money.

Which could create more problems down the line with your wellbeing, health and happiness.

Take each day as it comes.  If you’re not working, think about how you can fill your days with interests or hobbies that spark joy for you.  Being creative and doing the things that bring us joy can actually give us the answers we seek.

If you’ve been furloughed, and looking for some useful information on what this means and what you can do about work and next steps take a look here

If it’s a case that you need to look at getting a new job and panicking about where to go and what to do, let’s back it up a bit.

You know you; you know what you’re prepared to do and what you’re not going to stand for right?

So, let’s get reacquainted with that beautiful and amazing person now.

Let that fear and worry just slide for a moment – take a nice deep breath and focus on this present moment; here and now. Remind yourself that you’re taking each day as it comes and you’re focusing on today.

Ask yourself what you’re prepared to do and what you won’t do.

Make a list; seeing it on paper makes a BIG difference.

What you’re probably not hearing in the news is that there are companies still recruiting; jobs are listed on job sites, recruitment agencies are looking for candidates in various industries and professions.

Take comfort in knowing that you have control; you have the choice and make the final decision on what you do for work my friend.  Own your power.

Use this time to get really clear on what you want to do for work and your career.  Is it time for a change?  Update your CV; call out your talents and your experience.

Through this situation we’ve discovered that anything can change and anything is possible.  Never in our wildest dreams would we have thought this could happen in our lifetime.  But it has.

Work with this time and reflect on where you are, where you’ve come from and where you want to be after all this.

Dream big; no holds barred.

Keep going my friend you’ve got this.

Keep safe and take care.

Now I’d love to hear how you’re going to turn this insight into action…
