When you’re working in a job that gets you down each day, its sometimes hard to see the wood for the trees that you can get so consumed with the negative aspects of the job, that the prospect of changing your work life becomes a lost cause and feel that it will never happen.
In this week’s video I’m sharing three techniques that helped me to cope in those dark days of working in jobs that got me down for one reason or another. By applying these techniques it helped to pull me out of the negative and shift my mindset to seeing a way out
- What 3 things do you like about your job? Write them down and focus on these when you’re on your commute to work and during the those moments, when you keep thinking about what you hate.
- Make sure you do something you enjoy outside of work Keep your spirits high by doing activities and spending time with family and friends on your days out of work. We spend a third of our lifetime at work and when we are absorbed in what we don’t like about our job, this can take over the rest of our life. Raise your vibrations and do something fun and enjoyable.
- What’s your escape plan? What’s your end goal? Where do you want to be with your career? Write it down and know that it WILL happen. You don’t need to have a full path mapped out, but writing a list or a sentence has so much power and you’re putting it out to the universe.
